Extra-Curricular Activities

Murrumbeena Primary School provides a wide range of extracurricular opportunities in addition to our comprehensive standard curriculum.

Before School and Lunch Time Clubs

We run Lunch Time Clubs to cater to student interests and ensure that all students have something enjoyable to do during their break times. Lunch Time Clubs run daily in the second half of lunch, in various classrooms around the school. The focus of our Lunch Time Clubs change termly, based on student feedback.

  • Run Club (before school)
  • Lego Club
  • Chess and Checkers Club
  • Mindful Colouring Club
  • Performing Arts Club
  • Dance Club
  • Board Games Club
  • Probots/Robotics Club
  • Art Club

We also ensure that our school's library (often referred to as I.R.C. - meaning Information Resource Centre) is often for half of lunch, allowing students to come and read quietly if they wish.

Extra Curricular Events

Our school participates in several annual or termly events which provide fantastic opportunities for students to follow their passions and interests in specific areas.

  • RoboGals (Year 6 girls)
  • Rugby League Day (Year 5-6s)
  • Debating Club (Year 5-6s)
  • Tournament of the Minds (Year 4-6s)
  • John Monash Maths and Science Programs (offered to selected students - chosen by Year 5 teachers)
