You will be able to apply to enrol your child in Foundation (Prep) 2027 at Murrumbeena Primary School from 22 April 2026.
All Victorian government primary schools follow the statewide Foundation (Prep) enrolment timeline. The timeline advises families when and how to enrol their child at a Victorian government primary school.
You can apply to enrol your child in Foundation (Prep) in 2027 from Monday 20 April 2026.

Enrolment Restriction:
Our school has an enrolment restriction under section 2.2.16 of the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic). The restriction limits enrolments for the 2026 school year.

Depending on available places, our school may be able to accept a limited number of out-of-zone enrolments according to next closest to the school. The department will review this enrolment restriction yearly and provide updated advice as necessary for the subsequent school year.
Enrolment applications submitted after 31 July 2026 will be processed by our school as they are received, in accordance with the department’s Enrolment Policy.

Other year level enrolments
We also accept enrolment applications for students in other year levels. You can submit a request at any time in the school year.
Eligible students who live within our school zone are guaranteed a place, while students outside the zone may be enrolled if there are available places.
